Wet Lay
Flagstone patios and pathways are both elegant and timeless. With it's naturally strong inherent properties, flagstones charm evoke a sense of security and calmness. While its initial cost can surpass that of pavers, it's life span far exceeds it. A wet lay consist of setting the flagstone using a mortar base. Random
When you want a stone pathway or patio that looks like it came straight from the forest, do so with randomly spaced stones such as this.
This type of pathway is better for gardens or along the side of the house than as a front pathway. While this type of stone pathway doesn't stand out as prominently as slate and flagstone paths, it does an adequate job of blending into the landscape.
One benefit, too, is that no mortar or grout is used. The weight of the stones does the job. Real stone is considerably heavier than masonry, such as concrete pavers or pea gravel. The weight of the stones settles them deeply into the soil. Call JJ Landscaping @ (647) 784-7085. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Natural Stone Steps
Natural Stone steps are ideal for outdoor applications. Steps are extremely durable. The size of the stone makes it sturdy and reliable once it is installed. They provide luxurious appeal to the landscape unparalleled by any other product. Made from sandstone, limestone and granite, natural steps are stocked in 4", 5", 6" and 8" lengths with custom sizes available. They are generally 16”-18” deep and 6”-7” high. While usually a little more expensive than concrete, natural steps tend to “age” better, and will basically last a lifetime. At JJ Landscaping we possess the equipment required to ensure every step is installed with care. Have questions?
